About us and our work: an overview ~READ IMMEDIATELY~

Hey everyone,

Well, about twenty days into blogging, I’ve realized that we haven’t actually put down much on who we actually are, why we’re doing this, and why you should care. So please let me make ammends.

Our names are James Cullen and Vaughan Holloway, and we are both aspiring authors-to-be looking to get published, make a decent living, and above all, get our writing out there for you, everyday people, to enjoy. Our current works include a joint project, The Speculum Aeternus, of which the first book (entitled The Twin Swords) is currently undergoing rigorous editing.

Individual projects: by Vaughan include Terrenials and Chrome, along with a Bleach fan fiction, entitled Fourth Seat, which won’t be published, but posted here in chapters. I myself have no works I seek to publish besides The Twin Swords, but have started writing a fan fiction entitled Eternal Sonata, based off the video game of the same name. This too will be uploaded in chapters as and when they are completed.

Other information: We are both eighteen years old, and live in the town of Sudbury, situated in Suffolk, East Anglia. Both avid readers, between us we must have read well over one thousand books of every conceivable genre. We started writing about five years ago, but work on an actual novel didn’t start until two years later, where a small project of ours started out of boredom graually grew and matured until before we knew it, we had a full fledged novel sized story on our hands. The rest is history, or so they say…

Our goals: Our current ambitions include finishing and publishing The Twin Swords, and to get as many people to read and enjoy it as possible. However, our enduring dream, the one we started out with, and the one that is still with us today, is to create vibrant, deep, detailed and fully realised worlds which the reader can immerse themselves into fully, so that they can take a reprieve from their hectic, stressful lives and be transported to new and fantastical lands, and become integrated with the characters and their struggles… in short, we dream to inspire and transport people through our writing, and just maybe give someone the inspiration they need to become an author themselves. Whether or not we succeed falls to you, the people who will eventually read what we’ve written.
