Another important update: Categories

Hey again, this is James, with another update which will hopefully simplify browsing our works for you.

You may have noticed that there is a column next to the posts, with several subheadings within it. One of these is called ‘Categories’, and this catalogues the different types of posts we will upload here. For instance, the category ‘Updates’ will have all the posts regarding updates to the blog and whatnot, whilst the ‘Excerpts’ category has all the works we have placed upon the main page, sub categorised for your convenience. If there is something in particular you are looking for here, such as excerpts of The Twin Swords, then click upon the category ‘The Twin Swords’, and all the posts with excerpts from The Twin Swords will be displayed, and nothing else. The same applies with all the other categories. This update is also going on the Information page, so be sure to check it out.

Important update: Our page

Hello everyone,

I know it’s been a very long time since I last posted, due to exams and revision, I have fallen into some rather bad habits.

That aside, we have written up a bit about ourselves and our aims up on a page entitled About us and our work: an overveiw. If this is your first time visiting, go here first for info on who we are, what we do and why we do it. If you’ve visited before, look at it anyway. If any confusion arose about anything we were posting before, it should make some semblence of sense now. Hopefully.

Expect more written material in the next few days (and I mean it this time. Honest.)

Important stuff/updates

Hey again, this is just a quick update on yesterday’s post, including stuff I forgot to go over.

I mentioned that the original purpose of this blog was to improve our writing abilities through daily posts and such. Related to that, we will be uploading examples of short prose for people to read, including, but not restricted to, short stories, multi-part sagas and fan fiction. Please note that any fan fiction uploaded is just that – fiction by fans, for fans, not for profit, just for people to enjoy reading. Any prose or poetry uploaded will be marked according to what it is in the title of the post.

Also, myself (James) and Vaughan will be posting independently of each other from now on, uploading our own short stories and things without the intervention of the other. We will only post jointly if something really important occurs (if we get published, for instance). To avoid confusion as to who is posting, look for differences in writing style. If the post is an excerpt, look at the title to determine its author. Failing all the above, just check the name at the end of the post.

Updates to this page will occur on a daily basis by myself, unless circumstances prevent me from doing so. Because Vaughan’s schedule is quite hectic, he may not be able to update daily, but will do so whenever he can, I imagine. There will be something new every day, so check in often – you may find something you like. 

That covers all the current updates. Expect an overview of The Speculum Aeternus from me in the next day or two, and some stuff from Vaughan as well. Until then, see you!
